Troop 829 was founded on August 29, 2019. We wanted to provide inclusion and opportunity and to grow scouting in Mount Airy and the surrounding area.

The boy and girl troops are scout led, focusing on developing youth leadership by giving scouts responsibility for managing many of their activities.

 

One of our mantras is "No Scout Left Behind!" No matter what strengths, challenges, interests, or background, our environment is welcoming and meant to provide them a space to have fun, achieve their goals, challenge themselves and make new friends.
